I have a 10" Basic Ann, and I think she's adorable. Because she came nekkid, I don't have any original clothes for her yet, though. I love her little glasses and that cute little look on her face.

I think you should get one for your daughter!

I purchased the 14 inch Barbara, Dru and Jane. I have a 14 inch Effanbee doll from my childhood and she needed some friends her own size. I love the bendy knees on the Tonner dolls.

I love their faces, but I just can't find myself buying a doll of a different size or body type than that shared by all of my other dolls. Tonner will not make softbody 18" dolls, so that takes them out of consideration.

I love them! I have five 10" Ann Estelles and just purchased the Tiny Betsy Thanksgiving trunk and the new holiday Tiny Betsy with the ornament. The 10" and 14" dolls are very pretty and are hard vinyl. The outfits are adorable but they can be costly. The Morrissey company has a lot of patterns to fit all the Tonner dolls. The 10" and 14" dolls do not have the bendable knees. Tiny Betsy and Tiny Ann Estelle are also very cute. Their clothing is interchangeable and you can find McCalls pattern to fit them. They are made of plastic, though. The newer Tiny Betsys and Anns have the bendable knees which is nice. They also fit in well with the 8" Madeline dolls. I think your daughter would love to have either one of the 8" dolls. They are sturdy and easy to care for. I purchased trunks for my 8" dolls because I like having a place to store everything when not in use. Hope this helps!

We have three Tiny Betsys - a blonde ballerina, a brunette Disney set, and a redhead. They are very cute but the ones I have all look alike except for their hair color. I think they now have different hair styles, which makes them a little diffferent.

Another play doll set we have that is great is Madame Alexander's Hannah Pepper series.
